Jack's First Hockey Game!

Daddy got two free tickets to see the Solar Bears and felt you deserved some special time.

Boy, were you stoked.

This was a real act of love because he'd been working late nights to finish a deadline.

But he didn't want to miss the opportunity to give you this experience and have that time with you.

And you LOVED it.

Like any seasoned hockey fan you were soon yelling "PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE!"

Jack Gets a Gift from His FriendGirl

Some friends from church were brave enough to invite ALL of us over for a Christmasy fellowship dinner.  Their daughter is in Jack's Sunday school class and loves him.

She had listened very carefully when they went around in a circle in class and he said he wanted a gumball machine for Christmas.  (Something I had not gotten him.)

So the night we went over she presented him with this present.

Can you guess what it was?  ;)

A gumball machine.  From the dollar store.  Her mother:  "best dollar I ever spent."

<sigh>

They are two peas in a pod.

Doesn't Bella's name suit her?  Isn't she beautiful?

In His Element

2

Saturday was encouraging.  A year and half ago, Jack had trouble obeying his soccer coach and understanding boundaries on the soccer field.  (Up to this present day, Jack struggles in class environments like Sunday school… his motor gets going and he can’t turn it off or exercise ANY self-control.)

1

THIS YEAR- I am so very thankful to announce- the soccer field brings out his BEST! He obeys, understands, plays hard, stays focused the ENTIRE game (something his siblings couldn’t do at his age.)

4

He predicts, watches for openings, guards his goal… and scored two (nearly four) goals last weekend: GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (see above)  I see his best at home and it is so nice to see him share his best side with others at long last.

3

Finally, he is in his element! And what this means (I say with great faith) is that in another year and a half (God love him) he may do alright in Sunday school, as well.

I love you, Jack!  You make my heart happy.

Brothers

I took these Easter… they’re NOT half so red and yellow as they are here in Photoshop!  Not sure why the uploading program did that, but you get the idea. I can’t wait to get some of these on my wall. Love these boys.
