22 Weeks

2

I'll be 22 weeks along tomorrow, and I'm starting to feel it.

3

Not that I should already feel it at 22 weeks, but MAN.  It took my food FOREVER to digest last night and I can't curl up anymore- there's too much to curl around.  (By the way, I realize I am looking duck-like.  I kind of want to paint a white Daisy Duck tail on this picture... but I always add a little JUNK in my TRUNK with my pregnancies, ALRIGHT?)  So LAY OFF THE PREGNANT WOMAN.  (Or she might eat you.)

Seriously.  Why is my stomach so much bigger than hers?  Let's not even compare rumps.  (And I realize I sound vain and I DON'T CARE- it's part of it- it's hormones, okay?)

Here's what Baby Center says about 22 weeks for the grandmas who care:

At 11 inches and almost 1 pound, your baby is the length of a spaghetti squash and starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

I'm not sure why Baby Center has an obession with comparing babies to fruits and vegetables, but Evan really enjoys it.  Every week he wants to know what fruit we're on.

This is just a sweet picture I wanted to share of my mom watching a movie with the kids.  Where is she gonna wedge #4?  I'm sure she'll find a place.  I'm sure we all will.  I see a few bare spots on her shoulders... on the other kids shoulders... we'll make it happen.

He actually bonked his head on the pole right there in the left shot and just laughed his way through it.  Boys.

I love these.  his little spread fingers and clenched lashes and happy mouth.  Toddlers are so sweet.
