This river is beautiful! There are rapids and it's much steeper and larger than my wide angle lens could capture... really, really beautiful and like stepping into old Florida, long ago.
They were really high above the water in these but you can't tell! Argh. Should've used a diff setting, I'm rusty.
One of the campfire stories we made up was about "Winks" that were wood fairies who fought against their enemies, the "Minks"... and we decided this tree hole on an island (dumb lens couldn't capture it all) was one of their homes. ;)
Even the facilities had a really neat, dated feel... very quaint and clean. Don't think I'd want to come brave the mosquitoes in the summer, though.

So far we've enjoyed the Stick Dog series and Hatchett. Narnia series and many others are on our list.
S'mores still on the cheeks. Camping's very dirty like that. Even with a big bag of baby wipes which was the best thing we brought with us.

Yay! so glad it was a success! We love camping. Vacations aren't always in the budget, but camping makes it possible, and the boys LOVE it. I didn't expect to love it, but I have learned to love it too. Did al your clothes smell like a campfire when you got home? I feel like a wash for days when its all over!
